The Christmas Window Display, bringing some festive cheer to the bottom of Crantock StreetImages Photography come second with Christmas Window Display

Images Photography, Newquay's Award Winning Photographers at the bottom of Crantock Street are celebrating, after taking second place in the NCCT Christmas Shop Window Competition 2009.

For their first Christmas in their new town centre purpose-built studios and showroom in Newquay, Images Photography decided to really make an impact, and help spread a little festive cheer with their display, consisting of some of their photography from the last year or so, in a snow lined setting featuring realistic snow and a large decorated tree as the centrepiece.

Altogether 37 shops were entered into the competition, and over 200 votes cast over the two week public voting period. The eventual winner was Johnny's Tobacconist on Bank Street, with Images second and Central Square's Force Majeure in third.

Matthew Bunt from Images Photography was really happy with the result. "Since it's our first year in the shop, we thought the least we could do is to make an effort with our window display as a 'thank-you' to everyone for their support this year.

"We are overwhelmed to even be considered in the top ten in the town, let alone second especially with so many excellent displays on offer. Our many congratulations to Johnny's Tobacconist, a well-deserved win!"
