One of the groups from the Newquay Lions Holiday posing for their free photo at Images PhotographyImages hosts free photo sessions for deserving groups and families.

Once again Newquay Lions, with the help of Newquay Towan Blystra Lions, hosted over thirty deserving families and groups from as far afield as Liverpool, Rochdale, Manchester and Dover as well as a few from closer to home.

All of the families and groups, are selected and sponsored by their local Lions club and visit Newquay as guests of the Newquay Lions. Some of the families have had a really rough time in previous years, some have lost loved ones or have children with serious, life limiting illnesses. Others have severe learning difficulties. The aim of the holiday is to give them a break from their everyday routine and the chance to spend time together as a family.

The holiday is growing each year and this year all the holidaymakers have had a brilliant time staying at Hendra Holiday park, visiting local attractions and enjoying the fantastic facilities the park offers.

As part of their week, all the families were invited to Images Photography, for a free Family or Group Photoshoot in our purpose-built Photography Studio. Images then printed and mounted all the photos, which were presented to all the families later that evening during a large farewell event.

Matthew Bunt, from Images Photography was over the moon with the takeup of their offer. "After the brilliant turnout and reaction last year, we were really keen to offer the studio to the guests again this year. We're always very supportive of both the Lions Clubs in Newquay, and believe the work they do for the local Community and beyond every year is amazing and selfless.

"We have worked with the Lions Holiday first hand for a number of years, and to see what an effect it really does have on these families makes everything worthwhile.

"We had dozens of families come in, all friendly and obviously having a great week. They were all a pleasure, and the reactions of many of them when they recieved their print made it all worthwhile!"
