Do I have to make a booking for a studio session?
We are a very busy Photography Studio, therefore booking for a session is essential. Please give us a ring on 01637 872374 to check availability and have a chat.
Do I have to make an appointment to come in and chat about packages and ideas?
As our showroom is open Monday - Friday 10 - 4, and Saturday 10 - 2, you are more than welcome to pop in anytime to have a chat. However, as we are very busy if you are in the position to make an appointment then we can ensure that we can put the time aside to give you a proper tour of our facilities, and spend a lot more time chatting through ideas.
How do you guarantee the quality of the prints?
We use the latest in digital and optical technology, as well as years of experience to make sure every single print you take home is the best possible quality. We use a professional photographic lab to produce the prints themselves, using Kodak materials. We also quality assure every single print prior to you taking it home - but of course, should the unlikely event occur where you're not happy with your prints, we fully guarantee every one - so just let us know.
How do the prints arrive?
When ordering with Images Photography, whether it's Online, in person or over the phone, we give you the option to either collect from the showroom or receive your order by first class mail. All our prints are supplied in a quality, sturdy presentational folder, and are also sent in a cardboard-backed protective envelope if posted.
How long until I can view my photos?
We will make an appointment for you to come back to our showroom and view your photos on our large high-definition screen when you have your session. This also gives you a chance to see some of the products we offer, including framing, albums, books and canvas prints. We usually allow 12-14 days to process and edit your photos.
And when I come back for my viewing, do I have to order there and then?
No, not at all! We invite you back to view your images so you can see them in full-resolution, and give you some great ideas on how you could put together your package, and interesting ideas on how to display your photos. You are not expected to order there and then, and you are more than welcome to go home to think over those decisions in your own time.
Do I have to come back into the showroom to view my photos?
We invite everyone back to the showroom, so they can view the photos on our large, high definition screen. Of course, you don't have to come back in and you can just view them online. However we do recommend coming back in to see the photos in all their glory - it can be a special experience with the family, and please remember, unlike other photographers we don't believe in "hard-sell". We are real people too, we love our work and our number one priority is making you happy whether it's a single print, or a large canvas - as long as we've put a smile on your face, that's all that matters.
How do I order additional prints, albums, canvas, fine art wraps or framed images?
You can either order additional prints, and smaller canvas prints online through the Client Proofing Service, over the phone or in person - all we need to know is the unique Quickfind (QF) number to find the photo on the system.
As albums, coffee table books and framed prints are more complex and offer many more options, we usually recommend popping in or giving us a ring to explain what you are after. We can mock up ideas and proofs for you there and then, and the showroom is also a great place to hold, touch and feel the products themselves before you order.
How secure is ordering online?
Our online ordering system is secured to the highest degree, using secure servers and 128 bit encryption as standard. Your card details are processed directly through a secure connection to our bank, so your payment details are never seen by Images, and our employees. To verify our security, when ordering simply click the "padlock" at the bottom of your browser window. This will bring up full details of the security and encryption.
We are also proud to be PCI-DSS Compliant. The Payment Card Industry Data
Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a worldwide information security standard defined
by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council.
The standard was created to help organisations that process card payments
prevent credit card fraud through increased controls around data and its
exposure to compromise.
Our secure servers and office networks are regularly scanned and tested by an
officially approved third party, to ensure all is safe.
As part of the compliance award, we also ensure and guarentee that whenever we
use your card and personal details, this is in a safe and considerate way.
Of course, if you would prefer to order in person then please feel free to phone us, or pop in with the details.
How long does it take to process my order?
It usually takes between 10-14 working days for us to process and complete your order. However, most the time this can be significantly shorter, depending on the items ordered.
If the order is time-sensitive (ie. a birthday present or anniversary), then please chat to us and we will always do our very best to complete it in time.
How long do you keep hold of my photos for?
Simple answer to that - FOREVER. Unlike some photography studios, we will never delete your photos, and keep them on our servers and online forever. So, if you came back in 5 years time to order another photo - it'll still be there! We also have a full multiple-site backup regime, ensuring that your special images are completely safe in the event of data loss or hardware failure.
Are my images kept private?
As per our standard Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, we do not share your information or images with anyone. We will only use your details and images to complete your order with our trusted affiliate companies. From time to time we may ask for permission to use an image from your session for our own marketing purposes, but of course we will contact you for permission beforehand.
Do you offer your packages as gifts?
Many of our packages can be offered as a presentational gift-wrapped item - perfect if you are purchasing for someone else as a present. Please ask for details.
Do you offer your studio session photos as digital files?
We are afraid that at the moment we are not able to provide any of our images as a digital copy. This is purely down to the fact that as photographers, we prefer to have control of what we produce.
We are very proud of our quality and feel of our prints, and unfortunately in the past we have had people printing their own copies (either at home or at a photo kiosk) of our images which are sub-standard. This then has inadvertantly negatively reflected the quality of our work.
However, if you were after a smaller digital copy for use on Social networking sites or to email to friends and family, then we would be happy to oblige.
Is there parking available?
Unfortunately, due to our town-centre location we are unable to provide parking for visitors to our showroom or studio. However, Crantock Street does have a number of short-stay parking spaces (up to 1 hour during the Summer), and there is also a large car park just around the corner on St. George's Road. We are also within walking distance (2 minutes) from Newquay Bus Station. Please see the map of our location here.
I'm a Photographer - can I hire out your facilities?
We are afraid that we do not offer out our facilities for hire at this time.
