Situated right on the waters edge, the Greenbank is a well-appointed and popular hotel has had its share of famous visitors. Kenneth Grahame's classic "Wind in the Willows" began as a series of letters sent to his son. The first two were written at the Greenbank Hotel while Grahame was a guest in May 1907. Florence Nightingale also signed the guests register. It's a lovely venue whether for the wedding and reception or just for the wedding breakfast. The grassed area alongside the hotel and the sun terracing give plenty of opportunities for great photos of the bride, groom, family and friends and the sweeping internal staircase adds to the feeling of elegance and spaciousness.
