The last occasion we were at Probus it snowed – not enough to cause any problems, but just enough to give the photos an even more unique feel about them. That's part of the fun of getting married in December like Verity and Craig did – you can never be 100% sure what weather you will encounter. Both Carolyn and I photographed this wedding and we had already made contingency plans in case we were likely to have problems getting over from Newquay. It's not that far but you can't risk getting stuck on the big morning. The church itself is large and full of character as befits 16th century origins. The church tower is 120 feet high and the interior and exterior show off fine examples of stone carvings.

I photographed Verity getting ready at her family home in Probus and we had some real fun with one of the cars getting out from the steep drive in the snow. We got the quarter of a mile up the road to Probus Church without any major problems though and, the rest as they say, was plain sailing. One minute the weather was sunny and the next we were in a blizzard! You can just imaging which of those two greeted the bride when she had to get out of the car at the church and later at the reception at the

Hotel in Newquay.... that's right, the snow. But something like that can't take away from a great wedding and a special day. |
