Catharine and Jim were married at the picturesque
St Mewan Church, on the outskirts of St Austell, and then enjoyed
their wedding breakfast at Carlyon Bay Hotel. St Mewan. The church
itself is selectively lit by the natural light through the stained glass
windows which makes for some beautiful photos,
especially in black and white or when used with some
carefully chosen spot colour.

The nice thing about photographing in a church like St Mewan with two
photographers is that while one of us is capturing the vows and the
expressions on the faces of the bride and groom, the other is able to
concentrate of the beauty of the location. This church is special for
the way it treats the light and, as you can see from some of my photos
taken there,
it makes for some lovely atmospheric shots.|
