Settled right in the heart of the village, in a sheltered spot, St
Menefreda Church is situated on the north coast of Cornwall across the
river from Padstow and next to Wadebridge. The church and the chapels
contain much 13th century work and the octagonal slate pillars and the
arches of the North aisle are Norman. The granite pillars and arches of
the South aisle date from the 15th century. This is a fantastic location
for those seeking a traditional church setting with long pathway leading
to the lytchgate where confetti is able to be thrown, making for some
colourful shots as in Morwenna and Steve's wedding. From the church it
was off to Roserrow Golf and Country Club just a few miles away for the
wedding breakfast.|
