Do I have to make an appointment to come in and chat about packages and ideas?
As our showroom is open Monday - Friday 10 - 4, and Saturday 10 - 1, you are more than welcome to pop in anytime to have a chat. However, as we are very busy if you are in the position to make an appointment then we can ensure that we can put the time aside to give you a proper tour of our facilities, guide you through our packages, and chat about ideas with Carolyn and/or Phil.
How can I check if you are available on a particular date?
As our calendar is constantly changing with bookings, we usually recommend either popping in or giving us a ring on 01637 872374. We can check availability immediately for you.
How do I go about booking?
When you come to see us to chat about your special day, we would usually supply you with a booking form which you can either complete there and then if you decide to invite us to cover your Wedding, or you can take it away with you.
If you would like to book us before this initial meeting, just get in contact and we can discuss things over the phone/email, and send you out a form in the post. This form also features all our terms and conditions for your information.
When you make an initial enquiry, on request we can pencil in the date of your Wedding for a short time whilst you make a final decision (subject to availability).
Do I have to pay a deposit?
To confirm the date and packages, we require a 20% deposit of the overall package upon booking. This can either be paid in cash, cheque, or with a Credit or Debit card. We do not charge a handling fee for card transactions. Also, please note that if paying by cash, Images Photography do not recommend sending cash by post.
When you book, we give you a 14 day grace period, where if you do change your mind within this time you can cancel the booking, and receive a full refund of the deposit paid. After this period, the deposit becomes non-refundable.
When is the final balance due?
The final balance, which will be detailed on your booking form is due at least 14 days before the ceremony itself. Again, This can either be paid in cash, cheque, or with a Credit or Debit card. We will post you a receipt, showing this final payment immediately for peace of mind.
Do your prices include V.A.T?
All the prices quoted by Images Photography are inclusive of V.A.T at the current rate. We always supply a V.A.T Invoice and receipt - Our V.A.T Registration number is: 102 8375 36
What happens if I want to change my package?
No problem! We are more than happy to be flexible, but the best thing to do is to ring us on 01637 872374 or pop in. In particular, if you were to upgrade your package this may increase the number of photographers from one to two, which means we would have to double check availability. However, this is not normally a problem.
What can I do with the photos supplied on the DVD?
Every package includes a DVD, which contains the full-resolution images from the day and can be accessed using any PC/MAC with a DVD Drive. We are more than happy for you to print the images, make copies, and share with friends and family online.
How do I play the InspireDVD?
Every package includes an InspireDVD - a moving selection of images telling a story of the day, put to music. This is a standard DVD video disc, which is playable in most home DVD players, and computers with DVD Video enabled. There will also be a version online, within your online viewing gallery which can be played with a Broadband connection. Additional copies of the InspireDVD can be ordered anytime after the day.
How long until I can view my photos?
We usually allow around 14 days until the photos are ready to be viewed. We select and process the images individually, sometimes adding an artistic touch to make your photos even more special.
Do I have to come back into the showroom to view the photos?
We invite everyone back to the showroom, so they can view the photos in all their glory on our large, high definition screen. Of course, we realise that this isn't always possible, and if you cannot get back in then we will send you the folder containing the DVD and InspireDVD directly to your home address by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Also within this package will be instructions on how to view the images online, and the photo selection forms for any albums/picture boxes included in your package too.
Is there a time-limit for making the selections for albums/picture boxes?
We know it's not the easiest job in the world, whittling a few hundred photos down to 50 - 60 for an album or box, and you'll be glad to hear there is no time limit. However, if it is a substantial amount of time (over a year for example), then as all our albums and boxes are hand-made, we cannot make guarantees that our suppliers still offer that product. If this is the case, we will need to discuss suitable alternatives with you to the same value.
What's the design process for the albums/boxes?
Firstly, we would ask you to fill out the enclosed form which is supplied with your DVD and InspireDVD, and either send this back to us or bring it in. We will then create a proof of the album, which can either be e-mailed to you, or seen in person. If there are changes you would like made, we can then amend the design, and provide you with a new proof copy for your approval.
How long do the albums and picture boxes take to arrive?
As all our products are hand-made, we usually allow up-to 21 days for delivery of your album and/or picture box. Usually this time will be a lot shorter, depending on how busy our supplier is.
How do the prints, boxes and albums arrive?
When ordering prints with Images Photography, whether it's Online, in person or over the phone, we give you the option to either collect from the showroom or receive your order by first class mail. All our prints are supplied in a quality, sturdy presentational folder, and are also sent in a cardboard-backed protective envelope if posted.
All our albums, books and boxes are sent by Parcelforce, and a tracking code will be supplied on request. Framed prints, canvas and fine-art prints are sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. If the item is as part of your Wedding Package, these will not incur an additional charge. However, if the item is not part of the package then postage and packing charges may apply - we will advise you before sending.
How do I order additional prints, albums, canvas, fine art wraps or framed images?
You can either order additional prints, and smaller canvas prints online through the Client Proofing Service, over the phone or in person - all we need to know is the unique Quickfind (QF) number, or the IMG number on the DVD Disc to find the photo on the system.
As albums, coffee table books and framed prints are more complex and offer many more options, we usually recommend popping in or giving us a ring to explain what you are after. We can mock up ideas and proofs for you there and then, and the showroom is also a great place to hold, touch and feel the products themselves before you order.
How do you guarantee the quality of the
albums and prints?
We use the latest in digital and optical technology, as well as years of experience to make sure every single print you take home is the best possible quality. We use a professional photographic lab to produce the prints themselves, using Kodak materials. We also quality assure every single print prior to you taking it home - but should the unlikely event occur where you're not happy with your prints, we fully guarantee every one - so just let us know.
All our albums and boxes are produced by a UK-based company which is well-established over many years in the photographic arena as the leading pro-lab all serious professional photographers use. They have close bonds with all major professional photographic associations and bodies.
How long do you keep hold of my photos for?
Simple answer to that - FOREVER. Unlike some photography studios, we will never delete your photos, and keep them on our servers and online forever. So, if you came back in 5 years time to order another photo - it'll still be there! We also have a full multiple-site backup regime, ensuring that your special images are completely safe in the event of data loss or hardware failure.
How secure is ordering online?
Our online ordering system is secured to the highest degree, using secure servers and 128 bit encryption as standard. Your card details are processed directly through a secure connection to our bank, so your payment details are never seen by Images, and our employees. To verify our security, when ordering simply click the "padlock" at the bottom of your browser window. This will bring up full details of the security and encryption.
We are also proud to be PCI-DSS Compliant. The Payment Card Industry Data
Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a worldwide information security standard defined
by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council.
The standard was created to help organisations that process card payments
prevent credit card fraud through increased controls around data and its
exposure to compromise.
Our secure servers and office networks are regularly scanned and tested by an
officially approved third party, to ensure all is safe.
As part of the compliance award, we also ensure and guarentee that whenever we
use your card and personal details, this is in a safe and considerate way.
Of course, if you would prefer to order in person then please feel free to phone us, or pop in with the details.
Can you submit our photo to the local press?
We usually submit a photo from all our Weddings to the local press, for inclusion in their "Just Married" sections, along with a short paragraph about the day. If you do not want us to do this, please let us know.
If you live outside Cornwall, or have a friend or relative that does and would like us to submit the photo to the local paper for that area, please let us know their details and we will be happy to assist.
Although we submit the images to the papers, we cannot guarantee it will be published, as it's completely at the discretion of the paper's Editor.
Are my images and personal details kept private?
As per our standard Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, we do not share your information or images with anyone, other than one image sent to the press (see above).
We will only use your details and images to complete your order with our trusted affiliate companies.
When you book with us we specifically ask if you give permission for us to use any images from the occasion in our future marketing and publicity. If you prefer us not to, this is absolutely fine.
We also give you the choice to have images on our website password protected.
Is there parking available?
Unfortunately, due to our town-centre location we are unable to provide parking for visitors to our showroom or studio. However, Crantock Street does have a number of short-stay parking spaces (up to 1 hour during the Summer), and there is also a large car park just around the corner on St. George's Road. We are also within walking distance (2 minutes) from Newquay Bus Station. Please see the map of our location here.
